Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Organised by Chloe provides professional organising, decluttering, moving and virtual organising services.
By booking a service with Organised by Chloe, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Services
Organised by Chloe provides professional organising and decluttering services designed to help create calm, functional and sustainable spaces.
Services may include:
In-person home organising and decluttering
Moving home support, including organising before, during or after a move
Virtual organising support
Creating and implementing personalised organising systems
Recommendations and sourcing of storage solutions
Support with decision-making during the decluttering process
Full-home and larger-scale organising projects, where agreed
Guidance on maintaining organising systems and creating sustainable routines
The exact services provided will be agreed with you before work begins and will depend on the scope and requirements of your project.
Organised by Chloe takes a supportive and judgement-free approach. Every home and household is different, and the aim is to create solutions that work for your lifestyle, needs and circumstances.
2. Scope of Work
For each project, Organised by Chloe will agree the scope of work and provide a quote based on the information available at the time.
Standard sessions are available in three- or six-hour blocks. Larger or multi-day projects will be quoted individually based on the scope and complexity of the work.
If, during a project, it becomes clear that the work required is substantially different from the agreed scope, Organised by Chloe will discuss this with you before carrying out additional work.
Any additional work or services will be quoted and agreed with you in advance wherever reasonably possible.
3. Services We Do Not Provide
Organised by Chloe does not provide:
Deep or specialist cleaning services
Gardening or outdoor maintenance
Heavy lifting or moving large furniture
Large-scale rubbish removal
Specialist services for hoarding situations
Work in homes affected by significant pest infestations
Handling or removal of hazardous materials
Selling items on behalf of clients
Basic cleaning may be carried out as part of the organising process, for example wiping down an empty shelf, drawer or cupboard. This is incidental to the organising service and does not constitute a professional cleaning service.
Organised by Chloe may be able to provide general guidance on suitable options for selling unwanted items, but responsibility for listing, selling, packaging and sending items remains with the client.
4. Quotes, Pricing and Payment
Organised by Chloe will provide a quote before work begins.
For standard organising sessions, pricing is based on the agreed session length. Larger projects and multi-day work will be quoted as a fixed project fee based on the agreed scope.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. BACS is the preferred method of payment.
For new clients or larger projects, Organised by Chloe may require a deposit of up to 50% of the agreed project fee to secure the booking. Any deposit required will be discussed and agreed at the time of booking.
If a deposit is paid, the remaining balance will be invoiced in accordance with the payment terms agreed for the project.
If payment is not received by the due date, Organised by Chloe may contact you to request payment and reserve the right to pause any ongoing or future work until outstanding invoices have been settled.
5. Changes to the Agreed Scope
Organised by Chloe will always aim to work flexibly and respond to your needs.
If you request additional work or if the scope of a project changes significantly from what was originally agreed, Organised by Chloe will discuss this with you before proceeding.
Any additional services or costs will be agreed with you in advance.
Organised by Chloe will not knowingly carry out significant additional chargeable work without first discussing it with you.
6. Storage Solutions
Where agreed as part of your project, Organised by Chloe may research, source and provide storage solutions as part of the quoted service.
Standard storage solutions required to implement the agreed organising systems are included within the quoted project fee, and you will not receive an additional invoice after the session for standard storage items provided by Organised by Chloe.
If a project requires specialist, bespoke or unusually expensive storage solutions, or if you request storage products beyond what is reasonably required for the agreed scope, Organised by Chloe will discuss any additional cost with you before making the purchase.
Organised by Chloe will handle the sourcing and purchase of agreed storage solutions and will take responsibility for removing any storage products provided as part of the service that are not suitable or wanted, where reasonably practicable.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.
Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice will not normally incur a cancellation charge.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled session, Organised by Chloe reserves the right to charge 50% of the agreed project or session fee.
Organised by Chloe may waive or reduce a cancellation charge at its discretion, particularly where there are genuine exceptional circumstances or where the circumstances warrant flexibility.
This may include unexpected illness, family emergencies or other circumstances outside of your reasonable control.
If you do not attend an agreed virtual session or are unavailable for a mutually agreed appointment, this may be treated as a late cancellation.
8. Illness, Extreme Weather and Unexpected Circumstances
Please let Organised by Chloe know as soon as possible if you or anyone in your household has a contagious illness.
We will discuss whether the session should proceed, be adapted or be rescheduled based on the circumstances.
Organised by Chloe reserves the right to postpone or reschedule a session if there is a reasonable concern about health or safety.
Sessions may also be rescheduled where extreme weather or other circumstances make travel or working conditions unsafe.
If Organised by Chloe needs to cancel a session due to illness, emergency, extreme weather or circumstances outside of reasonable control, you will be given as much notice as possible and the session will be rescheduled for a mutually convenient date.
9. Health, Safety and Working Conditions
The safety and wellbeing of both the client and Organised by Chloe are important.
Please inform Organised by Chloe before a session of any relevant:
Allergies or sensitivities
Mobility considerations
Health conditions that may affect the work
Pets in the property
Other circumstances that may affect health or safety
Organised by Chloe reserves the right to decline, postpone or stop work where the working environment is considered unsafe or unsuitable.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Significant mould
Pest infestations
Unsafe structural conditions
Human or animal waste
Needles or hazardous substances
Excessive clutter that prevents safe access or creates an unsafe working environment
Aggressive or dangerous animals
Where appropriate, Organised by Chloe may recommend that specialist support is sought before organising work can take place.
10. Access to Your Home
Organised by Chloe will normally work in your home while you are present.
Organised by Chloe may work in your home while you are away where this has been mutually agreed in advance and suitable arrangements for access have been made.
You are responsible for ensuring that Organised by Chloe can safely access the property and the areas included in the agreed scope of work.
If Organised by Chloe is unable to access the property at the agreed time, the booked session will still run for the agreed duration and the time lost as a result of restricted or unavailable access may reduce the amount of work that can be completed.
11. Children and Pets
Children are welcome to be present during organising sessions. However, clients remain responsible for supervising children and ensuring their safety while work is taking place.
Pets are also welcome, provided they do not prevent Organised by Chloe from working safely and effectively.
Where a pet is anxious, aggressive or likely to interfere with the work, Organised by Chloe may ask that the pet is kept in another area of the home for the duration of the session.
12. Travel and Additional Expenses
Organised by Chloe currently provides services in London and Dublin.
Travel costs are not normally charged separately for agreed projects.
If a project requires unusual or significant additional travel expenses, these will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
Any additional expenses agreed as part of a project will be included in the relevant quote or invoice.
13. Decluttering, Donations and Disposal
Organised by Chloe will support you in deciding what to keep, donate, recycle or dispose of.
The final decision about whether an item is kept, donated, recycled, sold or disposed of always belongs to the client.
Organised by Chloe will never independently decide to remove an item from your home without your permission.
When you give an item to Organised by Chloe for donation or disposal, you are confirming that you have made the final decision to part with that item and authorising Organised by Chloe to remove it from the property.
This includes checking the contents of pockets, bags, boxes, drawers or other items before they leave your home. The client remains responsible for ensuring that they have checked any belongings for items they wish to retain.
Once an item has left the property for donation, disposal or another agreed purpose, it may not be possible to retrieve or return it.
Organised by Chloe will not accept responsibility for items that the client has authorised for removal but later wishes to recover.
Where agreed in advance, Organised by Chloe may transport a reasonable quantity of donations to an appropriate charity or donation point. The quantity and arrangements will be agreed with the client based on the circumstances of the project.
Organised by Chloe does not routinely remove general household rubbish or recycling.
Specialist disposal or recycling may be possible in certain circumstances and will be discussed and agreed in advance. Any associated costs will be agreed before the service is provided.
14. Items Not Suitable for Removal
Organised by Chloe does not accept or transport hazardous, illegal or unsafe materials.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Weapons
Illegal substances
Hazardous chemicals
Medical waste
Needles or sharps
Other materials requiring specialist handling
Where such items are identified, the client remains responsible for arranging appropriate disposal through the relevant specialist service.
15. Client Responsibility and Personal Belongings
Organised by Chloe will provide guidance and support throughout the organising process, but the client remains responsible for final decisions relating to their belongings.
Organised by Chloe is not responsible for identifying hidden, forgotten or inadvertently included items within belongings that the client has authorised for donation, disposal or removal.
Clients are encouraged to identify any particularly fragile, valuable or sentimental items before organising work begins.
Organised by Chloe is not a professional appraiser and does not provide formal valuations of belongings.
If you believe an item may have significant monetary, historical or sentimental value, you should identify it before the decluttering process and seek appropriate specialist advice where necessary.
16. Handling of Belongings and Liability
Organised by Chloe takes reasonable care when handling your belongings and will always aim to treat your possessions with respect.
However, Organised by Chloe cannot accept responsibility for:
Pre-existing damage
Normal wear and tear
Damage resulting from an item's inherent fragility
Damage resulting from defective, poorly constructed or improperly installed items
Damage that could not reasonably have been anticipated based on the condition of the item
Clients should inform Organised by Chloe in advance of any particularly fragile, valuable or sentimental items that require special care.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Insurance
Organised by Chloe holds appropriate business insurance, including Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Details of insurance cover can be provided upon reasonable request.
18. Confidentiality and Privacy
Organised by Chloe understands that working in a client's home may involve seeing personal belongings, private documents and sensitive information.
All information encountered during the provision of services will be treated as confidential and will not knowingly be disclosed to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect someone's safety.
Organised by Chloe provides a judgement-free service, and information about a client's home, belongings or circumstances will not be shared for entertainment, gossip or any other inappropriate purpose.
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with Organised by Chloe's Privacy Policy.
19. Photography, Video and Testimonials
Before and after photographs or videos may be taken during organising projects to document the work.
Photographs and videos will only be used for marketing, portfolio, website, social media or PR purposes with your explicit permission.
Organised by Chloe may also ask clients to provide testimonials or reviews.
Any testimonial, photograph, video or identifying information used publicly will only be shared with the client's explicit permission and in accordance with the permission provided.
Where agreed, testimonials and images may be used alongside a client's first name or other identifying information. Clients may also choose to remain anonymous.
20. The Organised by Chloe Guarantee
Organised by Chloe wants the organising systems created in your home to work for you in real life.
If you find that the organising solutions or systems created during your project are not working for you, please get in touch within six weeks of the completion of the work.
Where appropriate, Organised by Chloe will offer one complimentary follow-up session of up to three hours to review and adjust the organising systems.
The guarantee applies to the areas and organising work completed by Organised by Chloe during the original project.
It does not cover:
New areas of the home that were not part of the original project
Significant changes in circumstances after the project, such as moving home or major changes to household needs
Additional organising work outside the original scope
Changes resulting from circumstances that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time of the original project
The purpose of the guarantee is to ensure that the systems created during your project are practical, sustainable and suited to your needs.
21. Ending a Project
For larger or multi-day projects, either party may request to end the project early in exceptional circumstances.
If a project ends before completion, the client remains responsible for payment for:
Services already provided
Storage solutions or products already purchased on the client's behalf
Any other expenses that have been agreed in advance
Any remaining work will be discussed and, where appropriate, a final invoice will be issued for the services provided up to the date the project ends.
Organised by Chloe reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where a client behaves in a way that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe or otherwise inappropriate.
22. If Organised by Chloe Needs to Cancel
In the unlikely event that Organised by Chloe needs to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be given as much notice as reasonably possible.
The session will be rearranged for a mutually convenient date.
Organised by Chloe will not be responsible for indirect costs or losses incurred by a client as a result of a cancellation or rescheduling, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
23. Changes to These Terms
Organised by Chloe may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version of the Terms & Conditions that applies to your booking will be the version in effect at the time the booking is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed.
Any significant changes to these Terms & Conditions will be reflected by an updated date on this page.
24. Agreement
By booking a service with Organised by Chloe, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions or the services provided, please get in touch before booking.
